Dear All
The summer sports season has begun (even if the weather has not quite followed!)
Cricket
U15 girls started off with what will probably be their most difficult game of the season after going out of the county cup against a very strong Lord Wandsworth College (LWC). Lots of the girls were playing in their first ever hardball game. The opposition selected Jess as best bowler, Flo as best batter and Kizzy as best fielder. Other notable performances were Sophie as most economical bowler and top scored with the bat.
Athletics
Year 9 and 10 went to Down Grange for a friendly meet ahead of districts in late May. We had 28 in the Eggar’s green vests - lots of positive performances with another opportunity to run, jump and throw on Weds next week at LWC.
Tennis
We have social tennis club back and it’s a great opportunity to practice and have fun after school.
Last Wednesday some year 8 students had the opportunity to participate in the Treloar Disability Sport Awareness Day alongside students from Treloar and other local schools. They took part in swimming, wheelchair basketball, boccia and table cricket. The students were a credit to the school and thoroughly enjoyed themselves.
Enjoy the long weekend
